Who are Somali pirates?

Somali pirates are poor people who try to be rich by attacking boats of tourists demanding a big ransom. The Americans are doing the most to stop them. American marines stop the Somali pirates by scaring them with their guns. Sometimes they chase them and always catch them. Now there are less Somali pirates and it's not a big problem for tourists or shipping any more.
