When England won - Mini-sagas from supporters around the world, who were allowed to change the team name!
Some great stories here from students aged 8 to 11! I really like the way that each story is from a different point of view - sometimes from the point of view of a supporter, sometimes from a player, and once from the point of view of someone who wasn't even watching the match!
Can you guess the sport for each of these stories?

Everyone was for France, but I was for Belgium. Every time France scored, they yelled. I was quiet, saying in my head, “Come on Belgium, come on!” Finally, BELGIUM SCORED!!!!

"Mike’s in his bed when suddenly he hears an explosion. He goes downstairs and hears it again. He goes outside and sees men talking loudly. He walks towards them being as discreet as possible and hears someone say:
“I knew England would win against Ireland; we’re too good for them.”"

England football team went to France to play France.
France were winning 2 – 0 then Harry Kane got the ball and had a shot. It went
into the net. 2-1! Deli Ali passed to Kane who shot the ball, hit the post and then
in the goal twice! They won!

Before the game I was stressed. There were 12 of us on the
team but 5 of us on the court. I put the ball through the hoop 3 times. The
other team scored once. Everyone shouted: “Go Canada!” The whistle blew – we
won! We hugged each other and screamed!

This day is not an ordinary day, this day Stade Toulousain plays
Racing 92 in the final of top 14! The players are ready, the two captains are talking
to the referee to know who has the ball. Stade has it, the match starts, after
a hard game Stade wins.
